SINCE I GOT THIS I HAVNT USED IT.. ITS NEVER WITH ME...
ALL THE TIME MY FRIENDS R USING IT.. DONNO WITH WHOM ISIT RIGHT NOW...
I purchased this cam from amazon.com .really its worthable . i was using this cam regularly to chat with my family members i dont hv any probs so far.It having good clarity , resolution &automatic face tracking is included in this cam. I hope my review will useful to you.
Although this camera comes with software for Mac OS never works in my iBook. Customer services never answered my request about drivers and have not found any on the web. If you have a Mac never try this camera. I lost 60 bucks.
I bought this webcam about one month ago. I feel pretty good about it. It is easily installed, and video quality is fairly good. One minor glitch is the design of clip used to fix the camera on my notebook. It will take a few trys for you to fix it properly. Overall, I am satisfied with the camera.
I bought this webcam last week from Amazon, it works fine n mike is good too. It doesn't work great in light but with light filter and color booster, you can make it better, so its ok. The size is small which is good to carry to anywhere u want. It doesn't fit well on the laptop and this is contrary to what I thought. Anyway, its good one overall, so go ahead friends !
Product is the same as mentioned in the website. I was really impressed with the amazon's delivery shcedules. They alwasys get my things on time or before their scheduled dates.
Thanks AMAZON team.
Regards,

I have excellent PC and Mac computer. And this is what happen.
Pro:
It works good on Windows XP, but only "1 frame per second" when using messenger.
Con:
It comes with CD for Mac OS X, but it doesn't support any mac.
I went to logitech website for help, and still doesn't work out right.
Buy as it, and that's it.
I purchased one of these last week for my laptop based on the reviews I found here. Since it's a lower cost item I wasn't expecting more than basic quality, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
The picture quality is absolutely excellent. The color on screen isn't all that true to life, but the clarity and the resolution of the picture was really good. We experimented with the still pictures and with making videos to email to friends last night. Both of those features work perfectly. The storage albums and the photo/video editing tools were also easy to use and worked flawlessly.
I wasn't all that impressed with the face tracking. It does work, but I'm not sure it's that great of a feature. For certain, it's not good if more than one person is in the picture (not surprising) since it tries to center on one person and cuts the other person out. The feature can be turned off though and then you can put several people in the shot with no problems.
I was expecting the size of the files to be a real problem for my email since I have dial-up at home. Again I was pleasantly surprised. I sent a 30 second video via email to a friend and it sent in only a few seconds. I also sent 5 of the photos in one email and that also sent instantly. I was thrilled with that based on previous experiences with other media files.
Other people have commented on the clip being a terrible design, but it worked fine on my Dell laptop. It is a little odd to figure out, but once you do, it's a good design. (More instructions for that would be useful.) I do wonder how well the clip will hold up under repeated use long term (will it stay tight or will it eventually become loose and not hold anymore) but for now I'm satisfied.
The size and appearance is also appealling. It was smaller than I'd imagined it would be when I researched it online. Kinda cute actually.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is using it for online chat. I'll do that later this week when I'm on a high speed connection. Based on it's performance so far, I would expect that to also be a first rate experience. (I wouldn't expect it to be good on my dial-up, though I will try it and see when I get a chance.)
The setup was simple and straightforward. I'm only moderately computer savvy and I had no difficulty at all in understanding the instructions or loading the software. Both the software and the device are very user friendly in my opinion.
Overall this is a really excellent product for the price and I'd highly recommend it to anyone in the market.
I just got mine delivered today and the clip doesn't even fit into my Dell Latitude D810 screen (the screen is about 3/4 inch thick). I must admit, it is a nice little webcam except that it needs a lot of light to operate. I have tried it for about 20 minutes with the webcam sitting on my desk and I could get good video image if I switched on all the lights in my room.
Sad to say I have to return this unit!
I researched different webcam/videophone solutions in order to purchase a gift for my in-laws and my daughter to communicate long distance. I wanted the easiest solution for them since they are not computer literate. Cost wasn't the first factor but I didn't want to spend $500 on a crappy solution. I looked at a couple of videophones, they seemed to be easy but they were definatley more expensive, and the reviews they were getting were not good. So I decided to go with a webcam, they were cheaper and had better reviews.
Since we both had laptops I chose the QuickCam. Let me start off by saying that it fit perfectly on both dell laptops. It was extremely easy to install on both laptops (running XP). I am not a manual reader so at first I was playing around with the software until I realized that the actual video conferencing software needed a subscription. So I decided to try a free messesnger webcam viewer. I tried Yahoo Messenger and found it to be very confusing. You had to broadcast, and sometimes you got super broadcast; and sometimes not even though I always have broadband.
That experience prompted me to try the software that logitech offers. They offer a 30 day free trial; so I downloaded, installed and registered. It worked great, the picture is clear and there is very little delay. It is easy to use and fairly impressive software. It really enhanced the camera experience.
The bottom line is that this camera is great for the price. If you want to fiddle around with 3rd party software (aol, yahoo, msn) the cost really great, but performance may take a hit. If your company owns professional software for video conferencing the cost is great. If you use logitechs videocall both parties need to use it and be subscribed with defferent accounts boosting the cost. BUT there is little delay, and it is easy to use.
Trust me buddy....after seeing different brands of webcams I have come to this conclusion that Logitech is the best in the industry.... well I am not talking about the entry level webcams where it is difficult to compare as they all suck.
This one is as good as it gets. Look around for a decent discounted price (after instant or mail-in-rebate) and grab yours. This is perfect for my laptop. It fits nicely, the picture quality is great both under natural and artificial lighting conditions. It has a lovely face-tracking feature that gets you out of those days of webcams where you had to sit stiff without any movement.
The form factor is perfect - it is real tiny !! I don't understand why a lot of people complain about fitting problems. The fitting clamp is stretchable and expands upto one inch and that should be more than enough unless you are trying to set the cam on a desktop monitor !!!
Get one with your eyes closed !
This is a excelent product the only problem is that it doesnt works with all laptops, I had a HP pavillion and the clip didnt held in the screen it makes the camera useless they should provide some type of stand or base so if it doesnt attach to the screen you can still use it !!!
If your laptop screen is compatible your lucky you have a very good product. It's very cheap the image is very good the snapshop function is awesome to take pictures to put in your msn messager !!
The focus control is very good too !! I liked the camera a lot !!!
Just try to see if it holds in your screen, till logitech start saying which laptops are compatible with the camera... My only hint is that if the edge of your screen is retangular it will hold most likely, My DELL is not completely retangular edge but it still holds perfectly !!
BE AWARE WITH COMPATIBILITY !!!
Got this unit for Christmas but have used a larger Quickcam in the past on my laptop.
Was using this camera with Yahoo IM...works OK but video was slow and choppy. Was not sure if this was Yahoo, the camera, or a little bit of both. This was the same as my old webcam.
But I upgraded my Skype today to the new v2.x that has video. Skype video works AWESOME....could not believe how good it looked and how smooth the video was...especially since this is still their first version. Sype even lets you go into a full screen video mode...looked good there too even at the native resolution.
But back to the camera itself....
Main reason I wanted this was for its size. I travel quite a bit and wanted something very small and easy to pack since I also lug around quote a bit of other stuff..PDA, cell phone, laptop, etc. 5 Stars here....nice little neoprene case with velcro is included.
The unit has a spring loaded tab-like clip at its base for attaching to the top of your laptop. I've seen the mixed reviews here about this and was not really sure what to expect. But it seems to work well for my IBM T41. Fits nice and secure. I would guess this is one of those areas where no matter what it will be impossible to make it perfect for everybody. It could probably be a little better...but then it might be bigger and more expensive. I'd bet this will fit just fine for about 90-95% of laptops out there...
The cable itself is only about 2 ft...good for me since it is only going from the USB port to the top of the laptop. But some people may find this too short if they wanted to place the camera on a table or elsewhere. Obviously a USB extension cable would solve that problem.
Small complaint...the unit does indeed swivel from its base...but only about 40 Deg. max. Would have been nice to have a wider tilt range...when clipped to the laptop you will need to move the lid of the laptop to "help" out with the tilt if needed.
Absolutely no issues with software...XP-Pro SP2 here.
I indeed recommend this product to road warriors like me.
The camera is OK[...]
I have a HP Pavilion zd7000 and the clip doesn't fit exactly in the notebook's cover. I managed to have it in the cover but it's kind of an unstable fixing.
The webcam works like i needed it to. The image is good, it can be manually focused (a little hard to do due to its small size), it clips on well to the notebook. The only downsides i see with it are:
* no ability to rotate, so we are elimited in our selection of what we broadcast (can't span the room without moving the computer)
* great zooming-in capabilities but it would be nice if it could zoom out a little more. Since we sit at a set distance from the laptop to reach keyboard, and since it is attached to the laptop, the camera typically shows our face. Can't really zoom out to show more.
Other than these, the camera works great, it is nice and compact, and easy to set up.
I love it. The software installed in my Sony VAIO with no problem and the camera provides a high quality video even at low level room light. Some of the accompanying software is annoying, but not a major drawback. I also have a Logitech on my desk top. These cameras have come a long way from the first Logitech I bought only a couple of years ago and ended up giving away because the software wrecked my computer! Unless you're Steven Spielberg, this will do the trick nicely.
I recently purchased this tiny little webcam for my Dell latitude and its great. Easy to install, clips on to the top of the screen very easily (although I dont understand the little rubber thing that came with it...) and the pictures are very clear. I'm fairly tech savvy, but don't have the time to fiddle around with difficult installations and settings. This was perfect for me. Quick and painless...I am recommending this for my parents. It takes great little avi. flics too...fun!
This tiny web cam is great for video communicating from a lap top. Keeping family and friends in touch, and face to face, all around the world is just fabulous. This was the best gift we ever gave to my wife's parents.
I especially like the vedios and pictures taken by this webcamera. The quality is very good.
Bought for my corp. Dell Latitude D610. I also use it with my Samsung LCD docking station monitor. Not all webcams have focus control. Focus ring is small, but does work. Spring loaded mounting clip expands to accomodate different screen flanges. If you're handy, you can foam tape a block of plastic, wood, etc. to any monitor or surface to use this on other than laptop screens. It's a better camera and mike than many of the other non laptop styles. Metal case rather than plastic. IMHO Logitech leads the market in webcam quality and value. My friend, VP Eng. at Toshiba, recommended it as he uses for his laptops. I have to agree. Only request to Logitech would be to include the "adapter block with foam tape mount" that I will have to create for mounting on other than laptop surfaces. As mentioned, only articulates forward and back, not left to right. But, I don't see that as necessary. Software is easy to install and offers straight Email video/audio AVI recordings. I looked at all the webcams on the Amazon list, and although I'm buying for my nephew's convention CRT monitor, I'm getting this camera over all the rest, including the conventional webcams for CRT's.
I like this camera. It's fairly easy to get it to stay on the laptops I've used it with (both HP), the software sets up quickly and effortlessly, the camera is small and lightweight, and the picture quality is really nice. I can't think of anything I don't like about it. I would give it a 5, but it's the only Webcam I've ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to.
The install was easy and took under 5 minutes. It's small, light weight and friends tell me the voice quality from built-in mic is perfect. The colour is a little blah but this one received the highest marks of all notebook webcam reviews.
Installation went OK, but using the QuickCam software to link to mt email (Outlook) failed. I uninstalled the software and then reinstalled and got the same problem. I also think the software would be much improved if it compressed the desktop video. All in all, good camera, problematic software. I'm running Win 2000.
excellent features, very compact...uses up battery quickly though and notebook gets heated fast.
Before buying this camera, go to the Logitech website user-discussion forums, and you will see that many users (myself included) have problems when videoconference with this (and other) Logitech webcams. The problem is that during video/audio conferencing over the Internet, the audio will go bad and result in pure static. The only way to resolve the issue is to end the call and start over, or put the call on hold and then resume a few seconds later. This is really annonying as it can happen multiple times per minute. The issue is certainly a HW or SW issue, as it is platform independent and occurs with Skype, MSN, AOL, etc. Logitech aupport has given no feedback on their website, and I will be returning my camera to the buyer or requesing a refund from Logitech for a defective product.
I have been very happy with this camera. In fact, I was so pleased with it, I bought a second one for my daughter in college, so we can keep in touch by video. She and I both have laptops, and I have Skyped with her while on the road, in my office, wherever. (I have never tried Yahoo or the other services - Skype has been so good I've never been tempted).
I also use it with a colleague who works remotely. If you are a remote worker, and plan to use the camera a lot for professional meetings, you might want to step up to the next higher Logitech camera, which has some nice zoom and auto-pan features. My co-worker has that one and it makes the video much more engaging.
This camera, however, has been perfect for my needs. Thumbs up!
I haven't used it much, but so far it looks good. Easy to install, works as described and it comes with free case. I liked the case.
works as described, easy to install, though the installation does change some windows xp professional settings for music playback which i had set up for itunes...i wish it had a separate stand it could be put on when u want to change it from being clipped on your laptop....
The installation and setup was very easy, just follow the instructions provided and youll be fine. I have a dell Inspiron 8200 running Windows XP with the latest service packs and patches instlaled. I usea an adaptec USB2 PCMCIA card since my laptop does not have USB2 built in. The performance and bit rate is not that great when connected to a USB1.1 port. The camera is really good in medium/Low light conditions and though I like the face tracking feature I tend to turn it off just so I can get a wide angled image. Also my laptop has a built in microphone and if the mic on the camera and my laptop are turned I get a feed back which results in a really shrill squeak, so I turn off the mic on my laptop and use the one on the camera which is really good. It is a good idea to go through the audio video tuning wizard on your chat/video conferencing program once you do this though, the mic on the camera is set at a higher than normal gain by default. Overall an excellent product that works great out of the box and even better with a little tweaking. Oh and the im age quality is also excellent.
Even though it is a lap top camera, I just taped it onto my monitor and used it. It's great! I use it for MSN video and AIM video. Also, you can take pictures with it and record videos! The only bad part was that the USB cord was short (b/c its made for lap tops) but I just bought an USB extendor and it's all good!
Very very good color and quality, the mic works fine, almost needs no additional light than the one emitted by the laptop screen. The face tracking function is kind of cool. I think that it as an overall excellent price/benefit relation. The only drawback is that it doesn't rotate horizontally, it only does vertically but that is not a big problem for me. I didn't give 5 stars to it just because I know there are better cameras out there but I don't think that they sale for this prize...
If your thinking of going for a webcam for a laptop and dont wanna go and spend a lotta money this is the best webcam available...
I would say the image is fairly good. Also I like the functions like take pictures and take videos. However, the holder design is terrible. It has no way to put on a laptop like Dell or IBM. So I have to hold it by hand every time I use it. I hate to say it, but the designer must carzy. They seem never tried it on different laptops before they put it on market.
Thank you for reading my review(s). like the quality of this camera and easy to install with the CD provided and easy to use.
pros: good quality
cons: does not stand on the laptop properly,
I am enjoying with this product....
Thank you

This was a great investment. It works very well, the picture is very clear. I can talk with friends all around. Seems like they are right here with me!! Great price too! D. Wilson in MO
(...)
I think its a pretty nice camera with really good video quality...!!! i had labtec webcam before .. but this webcam is way too better .. I have compared the two webcams side by side.. and Logitec wins hands-down..!!
The additional feature of mic is really handy. I have not yet tweaked with face tracking provided with this webcam !!
guys think twice before u buy this. quality is good. but i had a IBM think pad and the mount does not fit. the mount design is so stupid tat it is not elastic enough. this camera mount fits only on compaq, sony vaio, dell laptops.
I have to change my laptop to fit this camera. stupid camera mount
I have used this webcam for a while now with my laptop. Works great, very portable, comes with a nice pouch to store it in.
Love the quality of the picture, and the fact that one can manually set the focus.
This webcam is really good. It is very small. Picture clarity is good and innovative face tracking mechanism works greatly. Just look at one factor before purchasing this item, make sure that your notebook's LCD thickness matches with the technical specifications given.
I did not want to spend too much money on my first webcam as technology improves continuously and my needs/interests change rapidly.
After much research I thought this webcam had the best price-quality balance. And I was right! It is small, easy to pack and the quality of picture is great. Much better than the expensive once friends & family have. I am very happy and pleased with it.
The microphone works well and it has functioned on all programs and on all connections (messenger, aol, skype, pictures). I get great feedback from people who see me on the other side of the world. The cord is long so you can move it away from your computerscreen. The clip works well on my Toshiba.
For this price, you cannot get a better webcam.
I bought this cam for $43 looking at the good reviews, but completely disappointed with the quality. My brother got creative webcam pro for $15 the same time I got logitech quickcam. Both seems to have same picture quality. I feel I wasted money
The camera itself is ok. But the spring that clip on the laptop screen is too tight, it hardly gets on my IBM T-40 and T43P (~0.75 in thickness). I have a QuickCAM pro 5000 at work which works much better, although larger in size. make sure you measure your laptop screen thickness before you buy this camera.
The camera works great. It fits well on my HP dv5000. The supplied software is easy to use & install. I have used the webcam on Yahoo IM. Settings allow you to adjust for lighting conditions. It's pretty much fool proof, and the image is good. It comes with a travel case, which is nice.
I ordered two of this webcam: one for myself and the other for my spouse for an easy way to say hi when we're apart.
It has been a very nice little camera - it works well in low/moderate home light, especially if you activate the "light boost" option. The mike is OK, but I'll likely to get a headset at some point to cut down on reverb-y sounds.
The unit is very compact, clips easily to the top of my laptop and also has a handy protective carrying case. It was easy to set up, with a disc that installs the program onto the computer.[...]
I just got this camera today and I love it! Its a grayish-silver in color and has a manual focus. The usb cable is long enough to hook up to my usb port which is towards the front on my laptop (I have an HP Pavilion DV8000). It works just as well as my standard size PC webcam, also a Logitech. Its face tracking and ability to adjust to light made me very impressed with it considering its size. And the fact that it comes with its own little pouch makes it more appealing to take it on trips. When I first pulled it out of the packaging, I though "Uh-oh, this isn't big enough to hook on my laptop monitor." But then I noticed that the notebook clip is expandible from the back and I got lucky cuz if my monitor was any bigger, I wouldn't have been able to clip it on. - So make sure you know your monitor's width before you buy it.
The one other thing is that you have to be careful cuz there is no cover for the lens.
The camera is a great little thing. Comes with a little case to keep it protected. Nice clean pictures.
The webcam works as advertised - with really crappy lighting, it still managed to show my face comfortably, and worked well with various messaging software. The bad - on my Windows XP machine, with not much software installed and generally well-maintained, the software failed to install the drivers properly. Twice. I called the tech support (paying long distance charges), and after 20 minutes of waiting, got through. It took twenty more minutes for the support rep to get all my information - 20, I kid you not. And after that, she did not even bother to try out anything on my computer. Her advice straightaway - try to install it in another machine, if it does not work, call us back so that we can authorize a replacement. How could you not even try do get it to work on my current machine after spending so much time to get all the information out of me, I asked? Sorry, that's the policy. And I have to call you back on long-distance, and then wait forever to the muzak and then hope that you might authorize a replacement, I asked. Yes, she replied curtly and hung up. I had wasted too much time to try to just give up right then, so I tried a manual install of the drivers. Luck decided to favor me, and after indicating XP to look for the drivers in C:\Program Files\Logitech\QuickCam10WebInstall, I was at last home. After the installation, it has worked like a charm, but you just have to pray that you never ever have to contact Logitech for their "support".
This notebook cam is absolutely easy to setup and use. Does a great job for the price. It does have a little trouble ajusting to light change, but for the price I can't complain. The auto focus works great.
The cam did a really nice job keeping me in touch with my wife who was away for 5 days as part of her Phd program. The kids and I could see and hear her clearly. The only draw back I think for all these notebook cams is the way they mount to the laptop, they have a tendency to slip off easily if the edge of the laptop is rounded over as her is. My compaq presario is more of a square edge and does not preset an issue. The camera even has face tracking software to keep the persons face in the shot...
This a cool product from Logitech. I had bought the chordless mouse and some of the other products of logitech, But i would say this is the best. So compatible, cute, effecient working, etc, etc....
Couldn't get it to work with AIM, but it didn't much matter, it works magnificently with MSN Messenger. I've never had a problem with it, I've rarely ever had lag issues, or performance issues of any kind.
Sometimes there is a bit of an echo in the speakers, but it's not so much that you can't get over it.
All in all this is a great product that produces a VERY clear picture if there is enough light. Also, the filter on it for brightening in low light situations is very good. I'd recommend it to anyone. It fits snugly, but securely on the screen of my Dell Inspiron 9300.
I just got my quickcam and it was very easy to setup. I had some trouble focussing though since it is manual focus and the ring was stuck. However, with some nudging it finally loosened up and now the picture is crystal clear. It is so small and just excellent. Great work, Logitech!
My only concern is that it does not has autofocus, you have to adjust it manually.
I have been using this webcam for almost a year now with YM, skype etc. I like this camera. The video quality is good and the camera is quite small and fits well on my laptop. It comes with a software which allows you to capture images at different resolutions and also capture videos.
The built-in microphone works, but does not have any noise cancellation. So I do not use the mic in the cam for talking.
You can adjust the focus manually, which is pretty easy to do and takes only seconds. The software also has a face tracking feature which tracks your motion pretty well.
Overall I would say that it is a good buy. I had bought it from Amazon when there was deal for $20.
This product was value for money, very easy to install and very comfortable while using it. When I am using for chatting or showing my kid to his grandparents on video, it's very easy to handle. No long wires and making the camera stand anymore...!! It has others features of zoom in/out, face centered, etc.
Great Product, Microphone works fine. Design is cool and it can slide on the top frame of the laptop smooth as butter.
Not a great deal of image quality under low light conditions. even during day light, you got to have a bright ligth source facing you, then things will be clear.
This was my first webcam purchase so I did a bit of research before I actually purchased it. So far, I really love it and the camera is very cute (a lot smaller than what I had imagined). Installing was very easy and very quick. I was concerned about the clip when I read the other reviews, but it fits my Dell XPS M170 laptop very well. I purchased this camera to use with Skype and the quality of the picture is great. Although it seems the picture is better on the receiving end. When I see the image on my screen, it seems grainy to me. I had planned on just using my Logitech mic that I use for gaming but when I called relatives, they said that the mic sounded good and didn't echo. The USB cord is the perfect length since I already have a jumble of wires behind my laptop so that was a plus. Only thing I really would like is auto focus but once you focus it the first time, you don't really need to adjust it anymore. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
had trouble choosing but am glad i found this one. we got it for the kids to keep in touch with dad when he is on trips. they are toddlers so it had to be able to take their grabbing at it (it does). it took a little bit to get it working the first time with the online webcam messenger service but we got it figured out. and once we did it didn't need changing later on. the built in mic helped cut down on the troubleshooting. been using a year... also use it regularly for its mic while using online games. have to turn the gain down a bit because it picks up my voice so easily. the actual video quality is also decent. we've been happy enough i am buying a second as a gift for someone.
Before picking up this one, I've tried Microsoft NX-6000 and Logitech Fusion to pare with my Dell M1210 w/o much success. In both mentioned cameras microphone didn't work with Vista Ultimate RTM installed in my notebook. With this one, the mic did work right away, but I needed to install the new driver from Logitech site (QuickCam v10.4.0 Build 1401) to get the picture. Both video and voice performed extremely well even in the very low light condition (dusk, after sunset in the room with no indoor light, just undraped window). All my peers mentioned very good picture quality. I am totally satisfied with the purchase and recommend this product to anyone looking for miniature 2-in-1 solution.
I like using this cam with Skype. The quality is great during the day. At night I need to shine a bright light on myself for the quality to be ok for the cam. The sound seems to be decent through the mic and Skype.
I bought the Quickcam for my dell laptop be'coz I wanted to do away with the pain of connecting a separate microphone. The webcam has been serving its purpose excellently all these days.
This product is one of the best webcam I ever used. At first, I thought webcam for laptops may not be as clear as desktop webcams, but this product proved me wrong. It's handy size allows me to bring it wherever I go. Excellent pick!
Easy setup, easy to use with Skype and good price on Amazon.com. Works best with notebooks. It would be great if it came with a little stand for when you use your notebook as a desktop.
Excellent camera. Relative to a Labtec product, the resolution was far superior, the room-level light capability much better, and the focusing ring made acquiring sharp images much easier. I was particularly impressed by the close focusing capability. This inexpensive camera can produce close-up images that rival a far more expensive low-magnification scope plus video attachment. The driver was also faster than the Labtec's, allowing a useful boost in frame rate at lower resolutions. I think it's difficult to go wrong with this camera.
If your looking for a decent web cam for under $30 this is one of the best. It works great on a laptop and has a nice carrying case to transport it while on the road. The resolution is great for the price and the microphone is sensitive and can pick up sound great and cancels out background noise fairly well. The face tracking software could be better but I don't use it.
It works perfectly. Has a little bit of trouble with the light, and is very light so standing it up is difficult, but it works very well.
Picture and sound quality are VERY poor from this little device. It does not have a noise canceling device so quite often an echo can be heard. The video is small, grainy, and dark. Although the camera fits nicely on the top rim of my laptop screen, it is not very adjustable up or down/side to side and since the video window is so small, it often sets the subject off to one side or the other instead of centered. The only thing that I like about these 'Quickcam's' is that they are extremely easy and straightforward to use.
I ended up purchasing the 'Pro' version of this camera at the same time and have been very pleased with it. I recommend to anyone considering purchasing this product to spend the extra money and get the Pro version.
Extremely straightforward to install. Great quality from the camera, both for video and still photos (Auto light correction ("Rightlight") and face tracking works extremely well). Very compact and fits well on any laptop, couldn't be happier with the purchase. Though one small thing, you need to be pretty close to the camera for the laptop (i.e. not using an external keyboard) to get the best results out of it.
Great value for the price.
Overall this is a great webcam. Picture quality is great and the low light filter works really well. The face tracking feature works better than I thought it would too. The built-in microphone is really sensitive and gives a lot of feedback on the other end if you pick the camera up to move it, but I'm sure there is a way to disable the microphone...I just haven't figured that out yet. It is really small too(a little bigger than a book of matches). I recommend buying a USB extension cable along with this purchase because the attached cable is about 3 feet long. For the money and size, I definitley recommend this webcam!
Good product.. no problems yet thus far (had it for around 6 months). Only issue would be it slides off my HP screen because my laptop screen is too thick and not flat. Other than that, it's great.
The Logitech camera was very easy to setup and very good quality. Got it setup in minutes and the picture was very good quality. I got it for my 15 year old daughter and she was very pleased. Good for the price.
Average camera - the quality is average, the cord it too thick so you cant put it in a stable shape while you want to move it around. I think for the money they could have done a better job. But it is not that bad.
Its very compact, sits nicely on the laptop but if you want to chat without a headset, its useless in the sense that you get echoes. and that is very disturbing. Picture quality is very nice and resolution is pretty good.
I've used a few times and it's pretty cool..I must say. I researched this on cnet and it got good reviews. It's easy to install and works great on my computer. You don't need a headset to talk...since the cam has a mic on it. So I can't complain about it
The video was remarkably sharp, but never could get any sound no matter what I or my computer guy tried. Returned the camera and bought a quickcam pro elsewhere that worked fine. Go figure.
I am not sure if I did something wrong but I can't get the mic to work on the Camera. The Camera part works fine.
Overall, this should be a wonderful piece of hardware! It has everything! It has excellent reviews.... but warning on the driver. I put it into my CD driver and it kept grinding... Mine could have been just one bad driver out of millions. I have used Logitech devices before and they have been fantastic.
I used many web cams but this it the best one among all. It has the best video quality. Good buy!
You won't make a mistake for buying this cam. I recommend to everyone.
This cam has really good quality. It's little and compact, and of course you can put it on your notebook. I gave it four stars because I tried it on my brother's laptop, and it wouldn't get hooked on it. His screen was too thin.
How exciting to be able to see who is talking on the other side of the screen.
I purchased this webcam a month ago. It works pretty well. Very easy to install, take videos, and take photos. The light balance feature is also particularly helpful. It doesn't have perfect picture quality, but is still pretty good.
One slight problem: The software does not come with a voice recorder...when using a voice recorder and the software they give you, it caused my computer to shut down and had to recover from serious errors. So don't open two things that use a webcam at once!
I really like this one, because it is small. The picture quality is good (I had problems getting a clear picture in the begining, but all I had to do was turn the lense to focus). I really like that it has a build in microphone and speaker. So much better than sitting with your headset.
The only thing I don't so much like is that it doesn't fit snug on my laptop and it can fall off when I close my computer (I have a Dell laptop)
All in all I really like this product.
i have brought this Logitech webcam recently, at 1st, i was a little hesitating because of the price, but because i need one, so i bought it any way.
I am very pleased with the quality (the image) of this webcam, especially when the light is not shinned right on my face (back-light), it adjusts the brightness automatically. i guess just like the old say "what you paid is what you get".
Easy to install and to use. My wife is no computer whiz, and she handles this camera just fine.
This camera is so easy to install and to use with a laptop. It rests on top of my Toshiba and my husbands Gateway. I only plug it in when I use it, so it is not on my computer at all times.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it doesn't handle low lighting very well. Although, I have never used any other camera - so I'm not sure how they handle it.
Nice and compact with a short cable and a carrying pouch. Convenient for laptops. The only negative is that you have to manually focus your camera. Works with both PCs and Macs (with Macam drivers - the picture in the mac is actually better). Would reccommend it.
it came out out good, as described. shipping was also fast. no complaints till now (it's been 2 months). Also the microphone with the webcam is very good, no need to use headset. It's little costlier than other normal webcams but this one is good for notebooks. Mine is HP, it fits very well on the top of notebooks so no issues of webcam is not holding up a desk or so. Also angle can be changed to give e better view. I would definitely suggest this one for those who are looking notebook webcams.
