well I bought this cam to match my logitech keyboard and mouse...well it looked real cool and logitech gave a great description saying how it's got clear picture and watever.Well the camera has an xxxxtremely grainy picture and to be real the camera isn;t worth it... BEWARE
The picture quality was good enough for my budget and requirements. Though the images appear more smooth and a lesser framer rate in megapixel resolution.
In moderate lighting; with not too much of sunlight, the performance is really impressive.
Overall it is a good product and is decently priced. So if you are looking for a good basic webcam I would definitely recommend this one.
I just brought this webcam today and I was really impressed with it. The picture is very clear. I let my friends view it and they were like "nice webcam". Its a great product with a decent price.
I bought this webcam exclusively for using on an instant messenging device and I have to say it works pretty well. The pictures are very clear unlike others who's pictures are grainy.
This camera comes with a headset and a clip for putting on a computer screen which is nice. The clip is neat and works well but the earphones are kind of weird. I ended up using another pair but the included pair has a built in microphone so if you don't have another mic use them.
This webcam works well with many IM programs including AIM and MSN along with many others. I've tried it on AIM and it works extremely well. The other person doesn't even have to have a camera as long as they have some sort of a live connect option. If you can get that going you can/ or both can send videos back and forth that are just as good as sending a still picture....same nice quality.
All in all it is a very good buy and I recommend it.
the web cam is very good but the head set is not good at all. there is no control over the sound and cant hear properly. that is only the draw back. i dont know about the pictures taken from it as i only use the web cam for chatting purpose.
For a cheaper cam this does the job! I found the image quality was very good. Only complaint is when it is darker. There is a low light boost but unless you have on some background lighting, it is too dark.
Otherwise, daytime use is very good, and still pics look good too. I would recommend this to others!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter & granddaughter and have been very happy with the quality of the picture and sound. My daughter was very happy with the ease of hook up.It was delivered promptly.
This camera is awesome. It comes w/ a headset too that you can use when not using the webcam itself. The built in microphone is perfect allowing you to sit back and relax w/o being too close to the camera. The image is clear though it takes awhile to get the focus if you are moving too much (like when you are showing something using your webcam) but in real usage (just video phone) it is perfect. I love it and almost got another one for my family.
I enjoy what I bought and I made a good choice.
This webcam is fine...works well...priced well...now my children and grandchildren can enjoy seeing my face from anywhere in the world.
My boyfriend and I are currently 11 hours away from one another and this camera is the answer to our prayers! I've had to tweak it a little to get the focus and color just right, but after that amazing quality. The delay is very little too on Yahoo Instant Msg. I'm not sure about the other programs because I haven't tested it out, probably about the same. I'd say this is well worth the price.
You won't be sorry. If you get it and its out of focus or the picture is a bit grainy just check their website for tech support.
Bought the web cam for my kids to video with their Nana. Unfortunately, this product will NOT work unless the user has full Admin rights on the PC. Since my kids only have User permissions in XP Home Edition, the camera is useless. This "feature" was confirmed by Logitech's technical support. I wish I had known this before I bought it.
All I will say is that I was away from home sent this to my wife she installed (says alot) and we were able to communicate.Image clarity excellent,set up is a breeze and can be used right out of the box,the headset included in the package made this a one stop product and for laptop users the camera base shapes to fit overall extremely good product.
Though it was supposed to reach me in one week I got it in two days. The product is very good
This camera works great for me. The onboard microphone picks up my voice up to 10 feet away, and I didn't have to shout so my friend could here me talking. He did notice that I was moving away from the mic so he understood why my voice was getting softer.
The head set works great too... and no it's not a right sided ear peice like the other review says. You can rotate the ear peice so you can use it for your left ear as well. The mic in that head picks up my voice like a telephone would.
Video seems ok. I wasn't really expecting super clear video capture, it does an ok job for video converence. The problem I had for this camera between using Skype, MSN, and YM is that YM can't detect the webcam. I've tried a dozen ways to get it to detect the webcam, even using an upgraded PC, YM just can't detect the webcam. It only detected the Mic in the webcam. With that in mind if I have to do a video conference I switch to MSN or Skype.
All in all I like the webcam. Just wish YM can detect the camera.
This webcam was easy to set up and works very well with Skype. I bought two of them: one for my family and one for myself. The picture quality is good and the mounting attachment seems to work well for monitors or flat desks.
this cam is all that it was touted to be - nothing more or less. A good value for the money.
I purchased the Logitech Quickcam IM w/HDST (961361-0403) intending to use it for SKYPE. As an iBookG4 user (without a built-in camera), I was unaware that Skype + external webcam + Mac don't mix. After a helpful conversation with Logitech's technical support personnel I had to admit defeat and return the camera.
